- Community resources
Community Employment Services Fanshawe
Community Employment Services Fanshawe is a provincially-funded program to help unemployed, out-of-school
individuals find work. Program participants are primarily youth, ages 15 to 24,
with minimal work experience and Grade 12 education or less.
Through its several agency providers, including Fanshawe College, Youth
Opportunities Unlimited, the Unemployment Help Centre and L'ACFO, clients receive
all manner of employment support services.
Youth Opportunities Unlimited
For youth ages 16 to 24 years old, provides job search resource centre,
employment preparation workshops, including Career Exploration Workshop,
training programs and job referral services. Offers GED to people
between 19 and 24 years of age who will have been out of
school for more than one year by the time they are ready to write
the exam.
Nokee Kwe - Native Employment and Training Services
Delivering human resource development programs and services in London to
all persons of Native ancestry who apply and are eligible. The youth
program provides various employer and client based services to O-GI
eligible youth age 15 - 29 (30 if disabled) such as Summer Career
Placement (SCP), Stay in School Initiative, Youth Entrepreneurship,
Youth Internship and Community Service Placement.

"Mapping Out Your Future"
This career counselling service offers formal career testing and
assessments, followed by career consultation sessions with a
professional counsellor. You will receive detailed information about
your aptitudes, personality type, interests and values, as well as
instruction and support to research different career fields and the
labour market. We will help you to choose a suitable career direction
and counsel you about the best way to pursue that career.
