7. Neighbouring municipalities
Pets have been known to hop into cars or the backs of trucks
and be transported large distances,
so consider checking with shelters in other municipalities.
Because you can't visit all of them, try to email or fax your flyer or a photo of your pet. Ask the shelters to check their files for a pet similar to your's. They can also post the flyer or photo. Some shelters are very co-operative and will phone or email you if they find any possible matches - be sure to include your contact information in your message!
